Six staff members of a British HSBC bank have been sacked after filming themselves staging a mock Islamic state-style execution.

Staff members were at a team-building day out at a go-karting centre when the idea occurred to them. They were dressed in black overalls and had balaclavas to protect their faces from the helmets when someone realised they looked like terrorists.

The idea quickly escalated from there.

Incredibly, the footage was posted online. It shows five people laughing and joking, standing around a kneeling colleague dressed in an orange jumpsuit.

The kneeling man is called Saf Ahmed.

One of the balaclava-wearing men holds a coat hanger as a fake knife, while another holds ‘Ahmed’ by the shoulders.

One of the workers apparently shouts ‘Allahu Akbar!’ (a phrase sometimes used by IS groups at executions) before another whoops.

While only eight seconds in length the video has gone viral and outraged millions.

HSBC said those who took part in the filming had been sacked.

“We do not tolerate inappropriate behaviour. As soon as The Sun brought this video to our attention, we took the decision to sack the individuals involved. This is an abhorrent video and HSBC would like to apologise for any offence caused.”

This latest debacle comes after HSBC were engulfed in a money-laundering scandal and fined last year more than 2 billion pounds for rigging foreign exchange markets.
